Southeast, KRCU to Host LGBTQIA+ Panel in Engagement Series
04/03/2017

Join members of the Southeast and Cape Girardeau communities from 5:30-7 p.m. April 24 in the University Center Redhawks Room in a moderated panel discussion on 'LGBTQIA+: Living out Loud in SEMO.' The discussion will be moderated by Dr. Charles Philip Gause. Students, faculty, staff and the community at large are crucial allies for the LGBTQIA+ community because of their regular interactions outside of the classroom. As a campus community, it is our duty to be agents of change and, to show opinions of support for the LGBTQIA+ community, and a willingness to learn more so we can truly make a difference in the campus culture. The discussion titled, “LGBTQIA+: Living out Loud in SEMO,” will focus on experiences LGBTQIA+ students, faculty and staff have had in the community (good or bad), family support they have received or the lack thereof and whether people think it is a choice.
