'Take-Away Friday' to Address 'The Demise of the Digital Native'
03/27/2017
The “Take-Away Friday” series of faculty development workshops presents “The Demise of the Digital Native' at noon March 31 in the Towers Complex Room 110. This week, the Office of Instructional Technology and the Center for Scholarship in Teaching and Learning continue to discuss Marc Prensky's use of the digital natives/digital immigrants metaphor in 2001, which was followed by controversy and debate. In this session, social scientists will lead a discussion on the accuracy of this allegory and posit a more modern profile of the students inhabiting your learning spaces. Come and hear what our presenters have to say! As always, lunch is provided. Please register at https://cstl.semo.edu/workshop/.
