DPS Urges Campus to Listen for Alerts During Spring Severe Weather

The Department of Public Safety (DPS) at Southeast wants you be informed and safe during turbulent severe weather. DPS recommends the use of a NOAA Weather Radio to keep you informed about impending severe weather. NOAA Weather Radio (NWR) is a nationwide network of radio stations broadcasting continuous weather information. Working with the Federal Communication Commission's (FCC) Emergency Alert System, NWR is an 'all hazards' 24-hour radio network, making it a single source for comprehensive weather and emergency information. At Southeast, when a tornado warning is issued, the outdoor warning sirens will sound. Remember that the outdoor sirens are used to alert people to seek shelter indoors. During business hours and when time allows, the NetNotify alert box will appear with warning information as well.
