Retirement Reception Feb. 24 for Diane O. Sides

The Board of Regents and President Carlos Vargas invite the campus community to a celebratory retirement reception for Diane O. Sides, Associate to the President and Secretary to the Board of Regents, who is retiring March 1, after 26 years of service to the University. The reception will be held from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m., Friday, Feb. 24, in Kem Statuary Hall in the Aleen Vogel Wehking Alumni Center. Brief remarks will be given at 3:30 p.m. Sides originally was hired as Assistant Director of University Relations and Interim Director of Publications and later served as Director of University Relations from 2000 to 2008. She was tapped to be Associate to the President and Assistant Secretary to the Board of Regents in 2008. During her tenure at Southeast, Sides was invaluable to the administrations of President Kala Stroup, Interim President Bill Atchley, President Dale Nitzschke, President Kenneth Dobbins and current President Carlos Vargas. Please join us in congratulating Sides and showing our appreciation for her service to the University.
