Student Artist to Present Lecture, Artwork at Red Light Night Feb. 16

Southeast student Caitlin Kennedy, a senior ceramics major, will present her artwork and lecture entitled “Who Rescued Whom? The Art of Depression and Dogs” at the Arts Council of Southeast Missouri Red Light Night event Thursday, Feb. 16. The event is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. at 16 N. Spanish St. in Cape Girardeau. Admission is free. Kennedy will discuss how mental illness has affected her art and how having a companion animal has helped her to focus her attention in her quest to create art.
