Southeast Missouri State University is hosting free Paying for College Workshops in St. Louis this month. SEMO’s Office of Admissions will help students and families navigate the financial aid process.
“We host these events so students can make informed decisions about paying for college,” said Lenell Hahn, assistant vice president of enrollment management and admissions. “We want families to leave these events feeling empowered and feel like they have the support they need to succeed.”
Each interactive workshop offers practical guidance on scholarships, grants and the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), led by SEMO’s financial aid professionals. Participants will learn strategies to maximize their financial aid opportunities, avoid common pitfalls and plan for college expenses.
St. Louis–area workshops will be held on November 17 and 18 from 5-7:30 p.m. at the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce in St. Louis, Missouri.
Workshops include a complimentary meal, an informative presentation and one-on-one opportunities to ask questions and receive personalized support. The Paying for College workshops are free, but seats are limited and registration is required.
