Choosing a college is about more than just a campus tour, it’s about finding a community and a university that sets students up for success. This fall, Southeast Missouri State University is inviting future Redhawks to experience campus firsthand at Show Me Day on October 11 and November 8.
Show Me Day is SEMO’s signature visit experience, providing high school students, transfer students and their families a full picture of life at SEMO. Visitors can explore campus, connect with professors, learn about programs and see first-hand what makes SEMO a launchpad for future careers.
“We want every student to leave knowing how SEMO can support their goals in a way that’s personal and unique,” said Lenell Hahn, assistant vice president for Enrollment Management and Admissions.

During each Show Me Day, attendees will:
- Meet faculty and staff at the Academic Fair
- Tour classrooms, labs and residence halls
- Explore student organizations at the Student Life Expo
- Learn about admissions, scholarships and transferring credits
- Enjoy lunch on campus and shop with a 20% discount at the SEMO Bookstore
For families who cannot attend a Show Me Day, SEMO Admissions is introducing Twilight Tours this year. These evening tours include a 30-minute admissions presentation, the opportunity to meet with faculty and the chance to see SEMO’s campus at sunset. Registered participants will conclude the night with a complimentary dinner at Copper Dome Cafe. The dates for Twilight Tours are Sept. 11, Sept. 18, Sept. 25 and Oct. 16.
“Not everyone can step away from school or work for a daytime visit,” Hahn said. “Twilight Tours give families another way to explore campus without feeling rushed.”
For students considering their next step, Show Me Day gives students a preview of life in the Redhawk community.
