Southeast Missouri State University has relaunched its online Master of Business Administration (MBA) general management degree to make it possible for those wanting to earn an MBA to do so even if they don’t have an undergraduate business degree.
“We are especially excited to offer an MBA to students who may have majored in another area,” said Director of SEMO Online Chelsea McNeely. “We understand those without an undergrad business degree don’t have the luxury of spending time getting extensive pre-requisites. We’ve developed a set of courses to set you up for success in the program and that apply toward your MBA.”
The new online MBA doesn’t require a GRE/GMAT exam. McNeely says another benefit of the new online MBA is some courses are offered in an eight-week format. This means students can move through their coursework at a faster pace if they choose to. It also means there are five times a year when students can start the program.
SEMO’s Credit for Prior Learning (CPL) can also save time and money for those pursuing a degree. McNeely says CPL is a path for people to earn college credit for the professional experiences they have accumulated, meaning it can reduce the number of courses needed.
“The business world is changing fast,” said McNeely. “It’s the perfect time for SEMO’s online MBA to have made updates to provide moreopportunities for working professionals to pursue a flexible, accredited MBA in a way that fits their lives.”
SEMO Online offers 18 bachelor’s degrees, 21 master’s degrees, two specialist degrees, two associate degrees, nine certificates, and 14 minors fully online.
