2023 Annual Benefits Open Enrollment will begin on Monday, October 24, 2022, and end on Wednesday, November 2, 2022.
Informational meetings will be held October 10, 2022, through October 20, 2022. Human Resources will offer a combination of in-person informational meetings as well as zoom meetings. Spaces will be limited for the in-person sessions. Employees must register to attend a meeting through the Training and Development website at: https://semo.skillport.com/skillportfe/main.action?path=summary/ILT/ilt_2023OEIM
Dates and times can be accessed by selecting the “Sessions” tab. You may select “details” to access location information. Select “enroll” to register for the session. If you are attending a zoom session, you will receive the link to the online meeting in your invitation.
Below is a list of the times and formats of each session. Again, employees must pre-register to attend a session.

The following will be discussed during the informational meetings:
- There will be a slight increase to the 2023 medical premiums for those carrying dependents on the Base Plan and all coverage levels on the Accelerated Plan.
- The University will continue to pay 100% of the Base Medical Plan employee premium.
- UMR, a United Healthcare company, will continue as our third-party administrator for health insurance claims processing
- Base Medical Plan will continue to offer an option for a Health Savings Account (HSA) through Optum Bank.
- MOTION walking program will continue: FIT earnings will be placed in the employees’ HSA.
- Accelerated Plan will continue to offer an option of a Medical Reimbursement Account (MRA) through Frates Benefit Administrators.
- Tria Health will continue to assist with our Chronic Disease Management Program..
- No change to Dental.
- No change to Vision.
- UNUM will continue our new life insurance and LTD carrier.
