The renewable scholarship will be awarded to a full-time Southeast undergraduate, senior student within the Harrison College of Business and Computing. First preference will be given to a student who is accepted into the internship program with Precision Insurance & Financial Services. The Harrison College of Business and Computing Scholarship Committee will select the recipient. 

Precision Insurance & Financial Services, Inc. (“PIFS”) is a commercial insurance agency and brokerage firm specializing in transportation insurance for the long-haul, over-the-road truckers.  The agency is affiliated with the Precision Truck Products, Inc., the nation’s largest manufacturer of transportation equipment for the mobile home and mobile office industries. 

PIFS was started in 2003 to provide insurance for mobile home and mobile office transporters and is now the largest writer of this segment of insurance in the United States. In 2012, the agency acquired Concord Commercial Insurance Agency, Inc., in Punta Gorda, Florida, and began its focus on traditional over-the-road trucking in the southeastern United States. Since then, PIFS has expanded its market to over 40 states and now maintains offices in Missouri, Illinois, Florida and Texas.

PIFS offers a variety of products and services to its customers. The agency is one of the few in the country that owns its own in-house premium finance. It also maintains sole underwriting responsibilities over two specialized insurance programs with Lloyd’s of London.
