Prospective Southeast Missouri State University students interested in majoring in dance are invited to attend Dance Day 2021 on Saturday, Nov. 20, at Southeast’s River Campus.
High school students in grades 9-12 are invited to explore dance in a college environment at this free dance event hosted by The Jeanine Larson Dobbins Conservatory of Theatre and Dance.
Students will experience a day devoted entirely to dance during which they will learn new movement and ideas, meet new people, witness creativity and learn why dance is a vital part of any education.
The event will begin at 10 a.m. at the River Campus. Students will have the opportunity to tour the River Campus and speak with faculty and Southeast students. Participants will also receive two complimentary tickets to the Fall for Dance 2021 concert scheduled for Nov. 20 at 7:30 p.m. in the Donald C. Bedell Performance Hall.
Students and their families are encouraged to register for Dance Day.
High school seniors are also invited to attend the Conservatory BA Dance Scholarship Auditions at 2:15 p.m.
Part of Southeast’s statewide mission is excellence in visual and performing arts. The River Campus is a state-of-the-art facility and Southeast is the only institution in Missouri with a separate campus dedicated to the arts.
