The University website (previous and new) is powered by Google search. Each time a change is made to the site, we alert Google so they can crawl the site, find the changes and make sure the most relevant search results occur both on the site search and in Google itself.
Right now, users may be getting broken search results because Google is still pulling answers from the previous site, which no longer exists.
Normally, when we make a site change, Google has updated within a few days. With the launch of the new website, it is a much more extensive change and will take some time for Google to re-index the new site and provide quality links both in our sitewide search and on the search engine.
Until search is completely operational, users may find frequently visited places under the audience tab or don’t hesitate to complete the form on the Report a Problem banner located on each web page, so University Marketing can address the issue or help you find what you need.
