The exhibition includes artwork from Southeast student artists Hailey Rainey, a senior commercial photography major from Dexter, Missouri, and Tiffany Wagner, a junior art major from Scott City, Missouri; as well as Southeast 2020 alumna Maria Esswein.
An opening reception will be held Friday, Oct. 1 from 5-9 p.m. Face coverings are required.
The Affordable Art Fair embodies the mission of Catapult Creative House to provide a venue that cultivates creativity, innovation and entrepreneurship for artists and art lovers. To achieve this goal, it is crucial that art is available and accessible to everyone. All pieces on display in the Affordable Art Fair are priced at $50 or less, making owning a work of art achievable.
Attendees are welcome to tour the entire Catapult facilities including Southeast’s Department of Art and Design student studios and gallery. Visitors are also invited to browse the merchandise in the Catapult Creative House Shoppe, which features student work and local business products.
Catapult Creative House is located at 612 Broadway in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. Hours of operation are Monday through Saturday 8 a.m.-4 p.m. All gallery exhibitions, events and talks are free and open to the public.
