The Leadership SEMO program is a comprehensive seven-month training initiative designed to empower faculty and staff interested in developing their leadership potential and understanding of SEMO’s operations.

This program aims to enhance participants' leadership skills and deepen their understanding of University operations, budgets, decision-making processes, human resources management, and the impact of technology on higher education. It also includes sessions on finance, federal financial aid, and State of Missouri appropriations. 

 

Application Process

Applications are due by May 16, 2025
Applicants will be notified of acceptance by June 1, 2025
The program begins September 30, 2025, with the new class.

About Leadership SEMO

The Leadership SEMO program will comprise 25 participants annually, chosen through a workflow application process. The Leadership SEMO work group will review and select participants. The program includes seven sessions, predominantly conducted as half-day workshops, with the exception of the inaugural and concluding sessions which will be full day engagements.
