Exploring the world of meal plans and dining options is exciting for a new Redhawk, but we know there is a lot to learn! Here’s everything you need to know about meals, flex dollars, and Redbucks at SEMO dining.
Locations
Meals are available at three locations on campus:
- Towers Landing inside Towers Residence Hall
- St. Vincent Commons at the River Campus
- Copper Dome Café inside the University Center.
Meal Plans Offered
SEMO offers four different meal plans, so students can pick what works best for their dining needs. These plans are per semester and can be changed within the first eight weeks of a semester to ensure students have the best option for them. To see a breakdown of each meal plan, check out the meal plan options.
Flex Dollars
Flex dollars can be used at any retail location on campus or at any dining hall. They hold a dollar-for-dollar amount and are like money on a debit card; each time you make a purchase, that amount is subtracted from your flex dollar balance. There are five retail locations on campus:
- Subway
- Starbucks
- Panda Express
- Rowdy’s
- Redhawks Market (includes a Chick-Fil-A)
Unused flex dollars from the fall semester carry over to the spring semester. Flex dollars leftover from the spring semester will not carry over to the following summer or fall semesters, so make sure you use all your flex dollars before the end of the school year!
Redbucks
Redbucks are a student’s secret weapon! If you run out of flex dollars, you can always purchase Redbucks! They roll over from one semester to the next, so it’s easy to build your balance. Here’s some fast facts about Redbucks:
- They come in increments ranging from $50 to $800 and come with a 5% bonus.
- For every Redbucks order over $100, you receive 5% back as Bonus Bucks to your account.
- Bonus Bucks operate the same as Redbucks, however all your Redbucks must be used before using Bonus Bucks as payment. Bonus Bucks do not roll over semesters.
- Redbucks can always be added to a meal plan and can be purchased through the SEMO Dining Main Office or online at dineoncampus.com/semo.
Things to Remember
- Meals do not roll over per semester, so make sure you use as many as you can from your selected plan!
- Make sure to keep an eye on your balance! Balances can be checked through your student portal by going to your Student SS tab and selecting ‘Display Chartwells Balance.’
