I truly have the best job ever—I get to introduce future Redhawks to the incredible, one‑of‑a‑kind community at Southeast Missouri State University. As the Executive Director of Admissions and New Student Programs, I lead teams who guide students and families through every stage of the journey: the college search, the application process, and our orientation and enrollment experiences. And once they’re officially Redhawks, I get to welcome them to campus each semester during move‑in and Opening Week.

Opening Week is the happiest week at SEMO. It includes signature events like New Student Convocation, Academic Engagement Day and SE 101, the Welcome Back Picnic, and the full lineup featured in the annual Fearless in 4! publication—showcasing the can’t‑miss activities that kick off the fall semester.

For students who are ready to dive in early, I’ve been involved with Camp Redhawk since the idea first took flight. This summer leadership and spirit camp helps new students build confidence, make connections, and discover what it means to be Fearless—well before they move to campus. I also coordinate communication and engagement efforts for SEMO parents and families, ensuring they’re part of their student’s experience and deeply connected every step of the way.

My own fearless journey started at SEMO. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Mass Communication (Public Relations) in May 2010, with minors in Marketing Management and Sport Management. As a student, I served as a senior student ambassador and Show Me Day coordinator in the Office of Admissions. I later completed my Master of Arts in Higher Education Administration in December 2016.

Originally from DeSoto, Missouri, I now call Cape Girardeau home, where I live with my husband, Matt, and our dogs, Winston and Ted. In my free time, I love trying new food around town and being the rowdiest Redhawk, cheering on our student athletes at as many athletic events as I can (S‑E!).

I joined the Admissions team in August 2012 as Assistant Director of Admissions for New Student Programs, became Director of New Student Programs in November 2018, and stepped into my current role as Executive Director in January 2026. Before Admissions, I served as a financial counselor in Student Financial Services. Throughout my time at SEMO, I’ve been honored to receive recognitions including the Southeast Shout‑Out, Employee of the Year, and twice being named IFC Advisor of the Year for my work with the Mu Kappa chapter of Sigma Nu. I’ve also served three terms as chair of Professional Staff Council—service that remains a highlight of my campus involvement.

I can’t wait to meet new and prospective Redhawks and help each one transition confidently into life at SEMO. I’m certain you’ll love your experience here as much as I do.

“Nothing will ever love you like SEMO loves you!”
