Associate Professor — Nursing
My name is Corrie Dudley, and I am an Associate Professor of Nursing at Southeast Missouri State University. I have been part of the nursing faculty since 2018, teaching across both undergraduate and graduate programs. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Science in Nursing from Southeast Missouri State University and went on to complete my Doctor of Nursing Practice at Maryville University in 2017. In addition to teaching, I maintain active clinical practice as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Over the years, I have provided care in diverse settings including women’s health, urgent care, long-term care, and home-based medical assessments. I have also served as a SAFE-CARE provider, conducting forensic exams for victims of sexual assault and child abuse and neglect, work that shaped my commitment to advocacy and trauma-informed care.
Beyond my faculty and clinical roles, I am actively engaged in scholarship and professional service. I have been awarded multiple grants to advance nursing education, including projects on simulation, medication safety education, and e-learning. I regularly present at regional, national, and international conferences, most recently sharing work on simulation debriefing practices and the integration of artificial intelligence in nursing education.
Outside of my professional life, I live in Southeast Missouri with my family. I am a proud mother of three grown children and grandmother of five. Family time is my greatest joy, and I love spending time with my grandchildren. I also enjoy staying active in my community and mentoring students as they grow into confident, compassionate nurses.
