YOUR PHILOSOPHY OF TEACHING:
My philosophy of teaching can better be described as a philosophy of learning. I focus on student learning and adjust my teaching strategies in response to the pace and depth of student understanding. I view teaching as an interaction between an instructor and a student; thus, the impact of this interaction on learning, rather than my activities as an instructor, is of primary importance. I have three goals for any course that I teach: to foster critical thinking, to promote mastery of course content, and to encourage application of course materials to real-world examples.
WHY DID YOU DECIDE TO TEACH?
I like to help students learn the course materials and apply what they learn to real world practices.
CREDENTIALS/CAREER PATH
I have worked as a senior accountant at Black Hills State University for 6 years. As an accountant, I am a good team worker and self-motivated. I have taught accounting courses for two years and economics and finance courses for one year.
