The Southeast Missouri State University (SEMO) Department of Political Science, Philosophy & Religion will celebrate Constitution Week on Wednesday, September 24, with a special presentation from Washington University Dean Stefanie Lindquist. Her talk, titled “The Continuum of Constitutional Content and Reform,” begins at noon.

Constitution Day is a nationwide observance commemorating the adoption of the United States Constitution. Dean Lindquist, professor of law at WashU, is recognized for her expertise in judicial behavior and constitutional law. She has written numerous influential publications, co-authored three books, and is a prominent voice in the legal community. Her teaching has been widely celebrated, including receiving the Robert Birkby Award for Excellence in Teaching Political Science at Vanderbilt University and being named Professor of the Year at the University of Georgia.
Her visit provides SEMO students and faculty an opportunity to engage directly with a leading scholar in the field. Students across all majors are encouraged to attend, particularly those interested in careers in law, public service or government.
