Students interested in landing their dream career can get a head start by visiting Southeast Missouri State University’s Show Me Days this spring.
“A big part of the day allows students to explore academic areas that interest them," said Lenell Hahn, director of Admissions. “Students can spend time exploring majors at the Academic Fair and then attend facilities tours.”
Hahn says the day’s schedule allows students to tailor their visit to their interests while providing time for getting answers to college questions.
The schedule is designed to be flexible, allowing families to select the experiences that matter most to them. On February 28, March 29 and April 11, prospective students will have the chance to:
- Participate in a Student Life Expo
- Meet with professors at an Academic Fair
- Take a campus tour and explore residence halls
- Enjoy a meal at one of SEMO’s dining facilities
- Attend sessions on topics such as navigating admissions, paying for college and transferring credits
- Students can explore SEMO facilities, including the eSports Arena, Nursing Simulation Lab, the Professional Pilot Program at Cape Airport, and more.
Hahn says Two Friday dates this spring give high schools the perfect opportunity to organize a student group and bring them to campus.
“The spring semester is such an exciting time for high school students who are inching closer to college,” said Hahn. “Show Me Day gives them the opportunity to visit campus and learn more about the programs that will get them to the jobs they are pursuing plus hear how SEMO can help them like no other school can.”
In addition to tours, students can enjoy lunch at a campus dining facility and receive a 20% discount at the Southeast Bookstore, which can be used on campus during the event.
Show Me Day is a unique opportunity for prospective students to envision their future at SEMO, ask important questions and experience life on campus.
