Due to the improving public health environment and the significant decrease in the prevalence of COVID-19 cases, the decision has been made to revise the University-provided COVID-19 paid sick and family leave benefit.
Effective March 1, 2022, and until further notice, the University will provide COVID-19 paid sick and family leave benefit to all regular, temporary and student employees. The benefit covers up to a maximum of 40 hours (or a part-time employee’s one-week equivalent) of leave or telework. Previously used COVID-19 benefits will not reduce the new 40-hour benefit. A complete description of these paid leave benefits and eligible leave situations can be accessed on the Human Resources website.
Time away from work to be vaccinated does not have to be reported but should be arranged in advance with one’s supervisor. The University continues to offer vaccination clinic opportunities at convenient, on-campus locations. The schedule for campus vaccination clinic opportunities is available in the Protect the Nest Plan.
Questions should be directed to Human Resources at (573) 651-2206.
