The cost of enrolling in graduate coursework at Southeast Missouri State University just got sweeter for nonresident Southeast alumni who already hold a Southeast bachelors degree.
Beginning in fall 2018, the new Southeast Nonresident Alumni Award will be available to new and returning nonresident graduate students who earned their bachelors degree at Southeast. Nonresident alumni who have been admitted to a Southeast graduate program will now be charged the same tuition rate as Missouri residents.
The approximate value of this award for nonresident, graduate students taking 18 credit hours annually in a face to face program is $4,212. No application is necessary alumni will automatically receive the discounted rate upon admission to a graduate program.
Southeast offers 58 graduate-level programs, spanning all colleges and a wide variety of academic focus areas.
Our graduate coursework is taught by accomplished faculty whose expertise helps students develop a deeper understanding of their chosen discipline, said Dr. Charles McAllister, Southeast vice provost and dean of graduate studies. Southeasts graduate coursework is rigorous and designed to prepare students for advanced professional practice, leadership in their chosen career, or continuation to a doctoral degree program.
He added that Southeast is pleased to offer some dynamic new graduate programs to meet the demands of students and regional employers. Health profession degrees are among the fastest growing nationally, as recently reported by Hanover Research. Among Southeasts healthcare-related graduate programs are a Master of Science in Healthcare Management, offering options in administration, communication, informatics, and quality and patient safety, and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in health administration, McAllister said. Beginning in fall 2018, new graduate coursework is available in a Master of Science in Applied Computer Science, he added.
The new Southeast Nonresident Alumni Award will certainly help make post-graduate education financially viable for students wishing to continue their educational journey, develop academically, enhance their employment opportunities and advance their careers, McAllister said.
