Led by drumline and marching percussion instructors Joe Turner and Christopher Loe, alongside members of the SEMO Drumline. Open to students entering eighth grade through graduating seniors in 2025. All experience levels welcome.

  • Core fundamentals: technique, rhythmic accuracy, balance, fundamental movement
  • Ensemble skills: uniform sound quality, listening awareness, musical phrasing

This camp prepares students of all experience levels for success in a collegiate drumline and marching percussion setting.

Drum Major Camp

This camp is designed for students who are drum majors or who want to be drum majors for their high school marching bands, with a strong emphasis on developing confident, effective student leaders. Students will receive personalized help working with their own show scores, allowing them to directly apply camp instruction to their fall programs.

  • Core skills: fundamental conducting techniques, leadership development, basics of teaching, team building
  • Additional focus: rehearsal communication and strategies for leading both music and movement in a marching band setting
  • Hands-on experience: conducting, giving instruction, and leading small and large ensemble situations

A demonstration for friends and family will be given on the final session of camp.

Color Gaurd Camp

This camp is designed for individual guard members or an entire fall color guard. Students entering eighth grade through 2025 seniors are eligible to participate. We will teach you what you need to know to be successful in a fall color guard setting.

  • Fundamentals: flag, rifle, and saber technique, body movement, basic choreography
