My name is Tommy Bakersmith, and I joined the SEMO Admissions Team to start the new year in 2026. In my role, I happily serve the region of Central and East Central Missouri, working with students and their families to navigate the Southeast college application process and helping them explore all their opportunities available.
Originally from St. Louis, I moved to Cape Girardeau to attend Southeast Missouri State University and have called it home ever since. I started my degree at SEMO as a Business Administration major. Then I shifted my focus in my second year to major in Corporate Communications with a minor in Marketing Management – graduating in May 2020.
This town and school are so much more than what meets the eye, and I have always been an advocate for them. Now I get to do it professionally and give back to the places that gave me so much.
