Southeast Missouri State University (SEMO) has been named a Gold Military Friendly School and Top Ten Military Spouse Friendly School in the nation for the 2025-2026 academic year.
SEMO ranked in the Top Ten in Military Friendly Spouse School designations, and additionally ranked as a Gold-designated Military Friendly School.
The Military Friendly Schools list, compiled by VIQTORY, a veteran-owned business, recognizes institutions that demonstrate outstanding dedication to serving military-affiliated students through financial aid, academic policies, student support and career services. SEMO’s inclusion in the Gold and prestigious Top Ten rankings highlight the University’s continued efforts to foster a welcoming and supportive environment for veterans, active-duty service members and their families.

SEMO offers a range of services tailored to military-affiliated students, including the Office of Military and Veterans Services, personalized academic advising, priority registration and a host of military-affiliated options, including spouses and dependents, for financing their education, among other benefits.
