Let your talent shine: you do that here.
In Concert Band, you can express your musical interest in a large group setting alongside other Southeast students. Many of the finest musicians on campus perform with you in this ensemble, and about 50% of your fellow performers are non-music majors. This course counts toward humanities credits for General Education requirements!
When you join this traditional wind band, you play brass, percussion, or woodwind instruments in a large group. You perform a wide variety of wind band literature across several difficulty levels, presenting engaging programs that interest both you as a performer and your audience.
No Major Requirement
This ensemble welcomes all students to express their musical interest regardless of your major. No audition is required! However, you need to enroll in Concert Band (MU391) to participate.
The Concert Band ensemble meets only during the Spring semester. You attend rehearsals weekly on Monday and Wednesday from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. on the River Campus, and you'll perform twice in the beautiful Donald C. Bedell Performance Hall at the River Campus with the Southeast Wind Symphony.
Concert Band Calendar
The Southeast Wind Symphony presents two performances shared with the Southeast Wind Symphony each semester in the beautiful Donald C. Bedell Performance Hall on the River Campus of Southeast Missouri State University.
