Academic Mentoring Program

The Academic Mentoring Program pairs students with campus departments through student employment. Students are mentored by a SEMO faculty or staff member throughout this student worker experience. Students are encouraged to maintain high academic standing while developing professional workplace skills. In addition to learning the technical skills specific to the position, on campus employment helps students become career ready. Through a mentored student employment experience, students develop verbal, nonverbal and written communication, resiliency, time management, teamwork, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
