Without your support, our students' goals would only be a dream.

Every day, the Southeast community sees the impact of our donors’ generosity. Giving to any need is a deeply personal choice. The Foundation works with donors to make sure you are supporting the cause that matters most to you. Fortunately, we have many areas where you can make a difference or you can give to the University Fund, which is used where it's needed most.

Transforming Lives

This ability to Direct Your Impact is intrinsic to our Transforming Lives campaign. Please contact the Foundation (foundation@semo.edu) to discuss an emphasis on a campaign pillar (Academics, Athletics, Facilities, Technology) and preferred method of giving. Thank You!

Endowed Giving

Endowed scholarships and endowed funds are long-term, lasting funds that generate annual income, a portion of which is either awarded each year to a scholarship recipient or used for expenditures as outlined by the donor.

Planned Giving

Planned giving allows you to leave a lasting impact after your lifetime. Let us help you find a charitable plan that both provides for your family and supports Southeast.

Annual Giving

Annual gifts allow us to enhance the opportunities offered to current and future students. Unlike endowed gifts, annual gifts are used in the current operating year, providing discretionary funds to be allocated where they are most needed.

Matching Gifts

Did you know that many companies will match your gift to Southeast? Or possibly double or even triple your gift! Find out if your employer will match your donation below.

Pledges

Pledges are gifts that are paid over time. You are in control of the details of your pledge. You can determine your pledge amount, where your gift goes, the period of time over which the pledge will be paid and the frequency of payments. Southeast will send a pledge reminder each time a payment is due. To make a pledge, simply complete our online gift form and select the pledge option.

Payroll Deduction

SEMO faculty and staff are among our most loyal supporters. Together, they have proven we can accomplish far more than we can individually. If you are a Southeast faculty or staff member and would like your gift to the University automatically deducted from your pay, complete the payroll deduction form.

Ways to Give

  • Houck Project

The Houck Project will transform our 92-year-old stadium into a new dual role, multi-use, multi-phase development to benefit our University and the community alike, providing flexible, high-capacity, modern spaces to house academic and athletic programs.

The Houck Project is a multi-use development which will redefine the front porch of the SEMO campus and revitalize the gateway connecting the University and downtown Cape Girardeau. Help us make this vision a reality by donating now.

  • KRCU

KRCU at Southeast Missouri State University includes three stations that provide in-depth news and quality music programming to over 350,000 people in its service regions of Southeast Missouri, Southern Illinois, and the Parkland.
  • Power of Women

The annual Power of Women event allows a unique opportunity for area entrepreneurs and philanthropists to come together to raise scholarship funds while empowering, transforming, and connecting with their next generation of colleagues and customers. It is a perfect way to pay it forward, to propel the next generation further by empowering young women with the gift of education, something that breaks barriers and provides no limits to their potential.
  • Veterans Plaza

Throughout its history, Southeast Missouri State University has recognized the service of veterans and their families. The University’s Veterans Plaza project is an opportunity for you to honor the military service of friends, family members and others through the purchase of one or more commemorative bricks in the plaza.

Your Gift Makes a Difference!

You choose where your passion is, and we’ll help you make a difference for Southeast students in that area. Whether you’re supporting students through endowed scholarships, donating to the Redhawk Food Pantry, providing funds to Kent Library to enhance student research, supporting students with experiential learning opportunities, or giving to the University Fund to support the immediate area of greatest need, you make a difference in the lives of our students. Thank you!
