The students of the Jeanine Larson Dobbins Conservatory of Theatre and Dance put in countless hours of work to present top-notch productions. We’ll see you at the show! Currently enrolled Southeast students get in free for University-produced events by presenting their Southeast ID for a ticket at the River Campus Box Office or online.

Season ticket packages are on sale now. Email tickets@semo.edu or call us at (573) 651-2265 for details. Individual ticket sales begin August 24. Currently enrolled SEMO students can get a free ticket, for their personal use, to non-rental / HCAM produced events; select the ticket link or stop by the River Campus box office to get your ticket. A valid SEMO ID will be required to be shown upon entry to the venue.

OCT. 1 - 4: Footloose

Bedell Performance Hall. Multiple dates/times are available. Dust off your dancing shoes and prepare to cut loose! The explosive 1980's rock 'n' roll musical bursts onto the River Campus stage. When city boy Ren McCormack moves to the strict, small town of Bomont, he is shocked to discover a local ban on dancing and rock music. Ren sets out to bring life back to the town, finding unexpected romance and understanding along the way. This high-energy Dobbins Conservatory production features the Oscar-nominated hits you know and love, including "Holding Out for a Hero," "Let's Hear It for the Boy," "Almost Paradise," and of course, "Footloose." OCT. 29 - NOV. 2: The Play That Goes Wrong

Rust Flexible Theatre. Multiple dates/times are available. Wait... was that supposed to happen? Broadway's funniest smash hit is bringing a night of glorious misfortunes to the Dobbins Conservatory. Welcome to the opening night of the Cornley University Drama Society’s newest production, The Murder at Haversham Manor. Things are quickly going from bad to utterly disastrous. With an unconscious leading lady, a corpse that can’t play dead, and actors who trip over everything (including their lines), this accident-prone cast battles against all odds to make it to their final curtain call. NOV. 19 - 22: The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee

Rust Flexible Theatre. Multiple dates/times are available. Can you spell H-I-L-A-R-I-O-U-S? Grab your dictionary and join the fun at the quirkiest competition in town. Six socially awkward but highly determined adolescents compete for the spelling championship of a lifetime, overseen by three equally quirky grown-ups. As they spell their way through a series of delightfully obscure words, they share hilarious and touching stories from their home lives, ultimately discovering that winning isn't everything. DEC. 3 - 5: Eurydice

Rust Flexible Theatre. 7:30 p.m. The greatest love story ever told, finally seen through her eyes. In Sarah Ruhl’s retelling of the classic Orpheus myth, a young bride's untimely death sends her to the Underworld. There, Eurydice reunites with her father and struggles to hold onto the memories of her lost love. When Orpheus bravely ventures down to retrieve her, she is forced to make a heart-wrenching choice between two worlds. This visually stunning and deeply moving play brings fresh humor, breathtaking poetry, and profound emotion to the River Campus stage. General admission seating. FEB. 11 - 13: American Dance Goes to Hollywood

Bedell Performance Hall. Multiple dates/times are available. Enjoy an exciting variety of genres brought to life through original works by both professional and student choreographers. Highlighting the evening is a special piece choreographed by Broadway star and original Hamilton cast member, Seth Stewart, bringing a touch of Broadway magic right to the River Campus stage! MARCH 10 - 13: Migration Season

Rust Flexible Theatre. Multiple dates/times are available. It’s the annual Jekyll Island Youth Birdwatching Competition and high school seniors Sylvia and Lane are ready to absolutely DOMINATE for the 4th year in a row. Honestly? It’s barely a competition when you’re such iconic bestie-warbler-whisperers. Except this year... the extra-credit lacrosse himbos can actually tell a stork from a seagull. Not to mention the arrival of an unexpected parent chaperone threatens to destroy this duo’s guaranteed glory. Over the course of the weekend, we’ll ping-pong across the beaches and forests of Jekyll Island, tracking Sylvia and Lane’s path to teen birdwatching glory while unraveling a dark mystery that shakes the core of this senior-year victory-lap weekend. MARCH 30: Restaurant Hop

Join us for the 15th Annual Restaurant Hop, an evening of great food, community, and celebration in support of the talented students of the Dobbins Conservatory of Theatre and Dance. Guests will enjoy samples from some of Cape Girardeau’s favorite local eateries while helping students prepare for and travel to their BFA Senior Showcase in New York City. APRIL 15 - 18: Disney's Frozen

For the first time in forever, the Broadway phenomenon is bringing a breathtaking winter wonderland right to our stage. When Queen Elsa’s hidden powers accidentally plunge the kingdom of Arendelle into an eternal winter, her fearless sister Anna sets out on an epic adventure to make things right. Along the way, she makes unforgettable friends and learns that true love is the most powerful magic of all. APRIL 29 - MAY 1: Almost, Maine

Rust Flexible Theatre. 7:30 p.m. Under the glow of the northern lights, anything can happen. Welcome to Almost, Maine! On one clear, freezing Friday night, the residents of this remote, mythical town find themselves swept up in the unpredictable magic of romance. Knees are bruised, hearts are broken, and love is lost and found in a series of enchanting, interconnected vignettes.
