The process of applying to college should be easy for students, families, and high school guidance counselors. Here’s everything you need to know about applying to college at Southeast.

Unleash Your Potential

At Southeast, we don’t just learn. We do. Come and see for yourself what your future could hold or take the first step in the process by completing an application today.

Next Steps

Once you have applied for admission, what's next? Follow these easy steps to be on your way to becoming a Redhawk.

Apply for Aid

When you complete the Southeast application, you are automatically applying for Southeast scholarships. However, to apply for financial aid, you’ll need to follow these steps. If you haven’t yet, you and a parent (if you are a dependent student) should create an FSA ID. The FSA ID identifies you as someone who has the right to access your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) information online and allows a parent of a dependent student to sign a child's FAFSA electronically. Complete the FAFSA by January 15 to meet Southeast's priority processing deadline of February 1. This will improve your chances of receiving federal grant funds, Federal Work Study, and financial aid from the state of Missouri. Financial aid award information will be emailed to your Southeast email account in mid-December.

Submit Housing Contract

All full-time Southeast students live on campus for the first two years unless exemption criteria are met. After you’re admitted to Southeast, you may complete the Contract for University Housing online via the My Southeast admitted student portal. A $150 housing deposit is required at the time of submission. Complete your housing contract as soon as possible. December 1 is the recommended housing contract completion date.

Register for First STEP Orientation

First STEP Orientation is a one-day program required for all beginning freshmen. During First STEP you will learn about class offerings, register for classes, and learn about financial aid, housing, and student life at Southeast. First STEP information will be included in your admission packet.
