REQUESTING AN OFFICIAL TRANSCRIPT
Southeast Missouri State University authorizes the National Student Clearinghouse, a third-party transcript provider, to process all official transcript requests. Official transcript requests are submitted online and can be delivered in either an electronic or paper format. Ordering a transcript through the National Student Clearinghouse is considered a secure medium. The requestor should verify with the receiving party that a transcript ordered through this process and sent via electronic PDF or electronic exchange (ETX) will be considered as an official transcript. This site will require your Social Security Number or Southeast ID number, date of birth, and years of attendance.
There are two options to request an official transcript through the National Student Clearinghouse:
- By accessing the National Student Clearinghouse Transcript Ordering process at studentclearinghouse.org (any current or former student)
- Through a link in the mySEMO portal (current students or recent graduates – must have Southeast Key and password)
To request an official transcript:
Before starting the online request process, have the receiving party’s information and credit/debit card information available. This process will also allow for attachments to be uploaded and sent with your official transcript, if necessary.
Access the National Student Clearinghouse.

Click the green button that reads “Order-Track-Verify” then select “Order a Transcript.” (If using a mobile device or tablet, press the hamburger icon [three bars] in the top right corner, scroll to the bottom, and select “Order a Transcript.”)
Choose Southeast Missouri State University from the list of schools. Read all instructions for the online request and click the Order Transcript(s) button. The online request will walk you through the prompts.
The requestor’s signature is required by federal law. Using your mouse, you may sign online in the signature box at the end of the online request form.
Please Note: Official Transcripts to be printed and mailed to overseas areas will be sent via the U.S. Postal Service. There are no tracking numbers associated with standard U.S. mail.
Access the mySEMO portal:
Log in with your Southeast Key and password. For assistance activating your SEKey or retrieving your password, please contact the Information Technology Help Desk at (573)651-4357. Once logged into the portal:
- Search "Official Transcript"
- Click "Enrollment Verification or Official Transcript" Tool
- Click "Order a transcript" and follow the prompts to order a transcript or review a previous request.
Official transcripts are $15 per copy and are billed directly to the credit card if ordered through the National Student Clearinghouse process or to the student account if ordered directly through the Registrar’s Office. Additional fees are charged for overnight mail.
