Preparing graduates for a lifetime of stories is what we do. But graduation is only the beginning.

As a graduate of the Department of Mass Media, Art, and Design, you're part of a community that continues to shape the creative industries, strengthen our programs, and inspire future students. Whether you share your career journey, return as a guest speaker, mentor a student, host an intern, or support scholarships, your experience helps prepare the next generation of creators, storytellers, and creative professionals.

Your story is part of our story—and we'd love to hear where it has taken you.

Giving Back to the Department

The support of alumni and friends empowers the Department of Mass Media, Art, and Design to prepare the next generation of communicators. We are proud of where we have been, but we can't keep moving forward without your help.

 Here’s How to Get Started:

  • Volunteer to guest lecture on campus or virtually.
  • Invite a student group to tour your workplace.
  • Supervise a student intern in your field.
  • Go to the SEMO Foundation and contribute to a scholarship or an existing endowment .
  • Support the Herb and Peggy Taylor Endowment for Excellence
  • Contact our Director of Development to explore how you can help the department with endowment projects.
