What an exciting time for you and your loved ones!

We are proud of each of our students and recognize their journey has likely been accomplished with your extra support and encouragement.

Commencement Day

• Guests are encouraged to arrive at least 30 minutes before the start of the ceremony and be seated 15 minutes before the ceremony begins.
• Guests are not permitted in the graduate seating area.

• Guests:
  • No tickets or RSVPs are required for guests. 
  • Accessible parking and entry to the Show Me Center are readily available. 
  • The staff is on hand to accommodate any specific needs or assistance.
• What if my family/friends cannot attend in person?
  • The commencement ceremony will be broadcast live via the SEMO website https://semo.edu/student-support/academic-support/registrar/graduation/.
• Photos:
  • Photographers from The Grad Team will be capturing candid moments throughout the ceremony.
  • Every candidate will be photographed while crossing the stage and will have a formal portrait taken immediately after exiting. 
  • Notification will be sent to your SEMO email once your proofs are available.
• Bags and other safety/security protocols:
  • Graduates and guests are encouraged not to bring bags. If they do, they must meet the clear bag requirements outlined at Arena Policies - Show Me Center.
