Choosing a college can feel overwhelming, but Southeast Missouri State University is making it easier for prospective students to find where they belong. This spring, SEMO invites future Redhawks to experience campus firsthand during Show Me Day on March 21 and April 10.
Show Me Day is SEMO’s signature visit experience, providing high school students, transfer students and their families an inside look at academic programs and campus life. Visitors explore campus, connect with professors, learn about programs and see first-hand what makes SEMO the launchpad for their future careers.
“Show Me Day helps students understand not just what SEMO offers, but how we stand behind them as they take their next step,” said Katie Krodinger, executive director of the Office of Admissions & New Student Programs. “Attending Show Me Day is the best way for students to understand what a future at SEMO will look like.”
During each Show Me Day, attendees will:
- Meet faculty and staff at the Academic Fair
- Tour classrooms, labs and residence halls
- Explore student organizations at the Student Life Expo
- Learn about admissions, scholarships and transferring credits
- Enjoy lunch on campus and shop with a 20% discount at the SEMO Bookstore
For working families unable to attend a daytime visit, Twilight Tours provide an alternative. These evening tours include a 30-minute admissions presentation, the opportunity to meet with faculty and the chance to see SEMO’s campus at sunset. Registered participants will conclude the night with a complimentary dinner at Copper Dome Cafe.
The spring Twilight Tours are from 5-7 p.m. on the following dates:
- March 26
- April 2
- April 16
- April 23
- April 30
“Not everyone can step away from school or work for a daytime visit,” Krodinger said. "Twilight Tours give working students and their families another option to explore campus without the stress of missing obligations.”
Whether attending a Show Me Day or a Twilight Tour, students considering their next step gain a clearer picture of life as a Redhawk.
