  • Education/Health/Human Studies

Southeast Missouri State University (SEMO) will host K12TechPro New, Emerging, Exciting Technology (NEXT) Day on Friday, February 20 from 9 a.m.-3:45 p.m. in the University Center, bringing regional educators together for a day of insight and collaboration around the future of technology in education.

K12TechPro NEXT brings school technology leaders together for hands-on learning and forward-thinking discussions about trends shaping K-12 education technology. Attendees will spend the day, networking and engaging with vendors before participating in a 2026 technology forecast led by the K12TechPro team. There will be two rounds of breakout sessions allowing attendees to customize their experience.

Breakout session topics include:

  • HPE/Aruba: the future of networking
  • CTL: the future of devices
  • Extreme Networks: the future of networking
  • Schiller’s: the future classroom

“We are excited to host educators on campus to collaborate and explore the future of technology in education,” said Dr. Melissa Odegard, interim dean of the College of Education, Health and Human Studies. “SEMO began as a teacher’s college, and we are still committed to preparing our K12 educators to adapt to the rapidly evolving technology landscape in schools.”

A SEMO Tech Talk will address key topics such as artificial intelligence (AI) in education, web accessibility, content filtering and more. The day-long event will conclude with closing remarks and prize giveaways.
