Aside from just having a vast collection of historical artifacts on display, the Crisp Museum also presents a series of exhibitions throughout the year to display the creative work of talented, often local, artists.

With exhibitions rotating roughly on a monthly basis, you are certain to find inspirational, beautiful, and complex art that interests you.

Backstage Hollywood: Photography Bob Willoughby

November 10, 2023 – January 7, 2024 / Reception: November 10, 4-8 p.m. Willoughby was the first outsider photographer invited into movie studios.

Exhibiting Excellence 46th Annual Juried High School Exhibition

February 4 – February 25, 2024 / Reception: February 4, 2-4 p.m. / Award Ceremony: February 4, 3 p.m. Regional high school juniors and seniors from Southeast Missouri demonstrate their artistic skills.

Annual Juried Student Exhibition

March 26 – April 21, 2024 / Reception: March 26, 4-8 p.m. / Award Ceremony: March 26, 5 p.m. Students from the Department of Art and Design showcase their varied talents.

Senior BFA Exhibition

April 26 – May 12, 2024 / Reception: April 26, 4-8 p.m. Graduating seniors show their best work as they leave the university.

Selections from the Permanent Collections

June 7 - August 4, 2024 / Reception: June 7, 4-8 p.m. / This exhibit features new acquisitions and old favorites from the museum’s collections.

Exhibition Archive
