Selections from the Permanent Collection: Sculptures

May 15 - August 22, 2026. This sculpture exhibition features new acquisitions and old favorites from the Crisp Museum's sculpture collection. Explore works that offer insight into both traditional and contemporary sculpture. Then & Now: Works by SEMO Alumni & Faculty

September 4 – October 17, 2026. Then & Now: Works by SEMO Alumni & Faculty September 4- October 17, 2026 Reception: 4-8 p.m. September 4 This exhibition is a celebration of learning, collaboration, and the evolving relationship between teacher and artist. Professors engage with viewers and students alike, discussing techniques and inspiration, while students gain confidence seeing their creations displayed alongside those who have guided them.

Gary Lucy: Retrospective

October 23, - December 5, 2026. Reception: 4-8 p.m., October 23, 2026. Gary Lucy's genre style is centered on historical river scenes, depicting steamboats, explorers, traders, and everyday life during westward expansion. His paintings are known for their storytelling quality and careful historical research, often recreating real events or moments from journals and records.

Exhibiting Excellence: 49th Annual Juried High School Student Exhibition

February 7-March 6, 2026. Reception: 2-4 p.m. Feb. 7, 2026. As a testament to the power of arts education and the emerging voices shaping the future of creative expression, this exhibition highlights exceptional work in painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, and mixed media. Young artists have the opportunity to showcase their vision in a professional setting while gaining recognition for their achievements.

Annual Juried Student Exhibition

April 2-May 1, 2027. Reception: 4-8 p.m., April 2, 2027. Gain a deeper appreciation for the selected students' use of technique, skill, and personal perspectives in their recent works using various media.

Quilts & Stitchery

June 4-26, 2027. Opening Reception: 4-8 p.m., June 4, 2027. Closing Reception: 2-4 p.m., June 26, 2027. From vibrant, improvised designs and narratives to popular and historic patterns, this exhibit highlights quilts, thread painting, crochet, and multimedia with fibers by makers and artists who have utilized color, value, and pattern with dye, fabric, yarn, and thread as personal expression, décor, gifts, cultural representation, and storytelling.
