Thousands of students over the last 66 years have prepared science exhibits and had their interest piqued by their work to the point that they continued their science education. The fair is open to students in grades 6-12.

This science fair helps provide students with opportunities to pursue their academic interests and build career pathways. Because of this fair and the scores of others around the country, this nation has benefited immeasurably from the products of minds and hands in research and industry to make mankind's life incalculably better.

Participating students will explore scientific questions in astronomy, behavioral and social sciences, biochemistry and microbiology, biomedical and health sciences, chemistry, earth and environmental sciences, engineering and robotics, engineering mechanics, environmental engineering, material sciences, math, animal science, energy and physics, and plant sciences.
