Online doesn't mean on your own. No matter where you are, you'll be able to access a variety of student support services to help you in and out of the classroom. Many of these services are provided to you free of charge as an online student.

  • Portal

    The portal is where you'll check grades, track your progress towards your degree, see your student balance, and access other services. You can log in to the portal online. 
  • Kent Library

    Kent Library is your go to place for research help. You’ll have access to all of Kent Library’s databases for free as a Southeast student.
  • Textbook Rental and Bookstore.

    You can rent textbooks from Southeast for 35 dollars! Renting with us saves money and ensures you have the right version of the textbook for class. Don't live near campus? You can have your books delivered before the start of the semester.  You can order additonal class materials, and certain textbooks from the Southeast Bookstore.
  • Guide to Success

    At Southeast, we care about you as a student and want you to be successful. We have developed a guide to help you.

Canvas

Southeast uses a learning management system (LMS), called Canvas. Canvas is the course-management software where you will find your class content, contribute to forums, and submit your assignments.

Testing Services

Some of your courses, most commonly math courses, may require you to take a proctored exam. You can take your test on Southeast's main campus at Testing Services or you can establish a remote proctor.

    While Southeast Online may be able to assist you with general questions, they do not have access to your financial records. You can verify all financial aid and billing issues with Student Financial Services.
  • Online Tutoring

    You can access helpful webinars and request tutoring on the Learning Assistance Programs.
  • Counseling Services

    If you are struggling with your mental health, you can schedule a free online counseling appointment. You can also attend in-person counseling services on our main Cape Girardeau campus.

Veterans Services

Southeast strives to serve military members and veterans no matter where they learn. You can earn credit for military experience, participate in programs like General Education Mobile, and qualify for special scholarships and aid.
