Lines. Light. Reflection, an Exhibition of Photographs by Charl Kroeger, will be on view Monday, March 30 through Friday, May 8 in the Arts Expansion (ARX) Gallery.
Charl Kroeger is an inventive, multi-disciplined artist who expresses himself through photography and graphic design. He's inspired by a deep love for music and the people who make it, and is influenced by architecture, travel and creating a holistic and expansive bird's eye view.
Born in South Africa, it was there that Kroeger combined his two loves: graphic design and music; becoming a leading designer in South Africa's music industry. His wanderlust and artistic hunger brought him to NYC where he mastered the harmonies of photography and design working with many companies, nonprofits and musicians.
Drawn to the universal vibe of California dreaming, Charl and his husband, Paul, now make their home in Long Beach, California with their two cats.
A reception for Lines. Light. Reflection will take place on Friday, May 8 from 5-7 p.m., with an artist's talk in the gallery at 4:30.
The ARX Gallery is open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. All gallery exhibitions, events and talks are free and open to the public. For more information, please contact Dr. Joni Hand at jhand@semo.edu.
