"Fearsome Critters," an Exhibition of Works by Grace Merickel and Robert Cortez will be on view Friday, February 6 through Friday, February 27 at the Nest Gallery in the Seminary Building at the River Campus. 

Grace Merickel is a multimedia artist based in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, who specializes in water-based media. Born in Bakersfield, California, her lifelong tendency for daydreaming has fueled artistic endeavors for as long as she can remember. Robert Cortez is a digital artist with an interest in exploring the ways aspiring artists have been empowered by the opportunities of the internet age. A lifelong lover of fantasy, biology and science fiction, Robert uses the medium of illustration to tell the unique stories which can be found where one's interests meet. 

An opening reception for "Fearsome Critters" will take place on February 6 from 5-7 p.m.
