The Specialist in Education Administration is a 30-hour online degree focused on four
curriculum themes: school improvement, management and operations, instructional leadership,
and culture and change. This innovative program is taught in eight-week sessions with
a six-hour internship in your school district. You'll be prepared to work in administrative
roles in schools, and test preparation for the Missouri certification exam is built
into the program. Our education programs are nationally accredited by the Council
for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation and we're an Apple Distinguished School.
- 1. A graduate GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 point scale
- 2. A master's degree (if not in Educational Administration, prerequisites will apply)
- 3. A valid teaching certificate

- EA 707. Personnel Management in Education.
Provides school administrators with knowledge and skills on the purpose, process,
planning procedures, and policy making in administering the personnel program.(3).
- EA 709. Leadership and Communications.
An exploration of the principles of leadership including the nature of leadership;
social justice; changing cultures; leadership for learning; and the future of leadership.
- EA 710. Leading District Improvement.
This course focuses on developing the district mission, vision, and core values while
cultivating a collaborative and individually responsive culture. (3).
