In celebration of National Small Business Week, the Missouri Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at Southeast Missouri State University is hosting Business Growth Workshop Days for the third consecutive year, offering regional entrepreneurs the tools and strategies they need to grow with confidence and purpose.

Designed to help business owners take the next step forward, the three workshops will focus on practical approaches to business growth. Sessions will guide participants through building a strategic game plan, creating a brand experience that resonates with customers, developing a marketing plan that goes beyond social media and identifying potential funding sources.

“Business Growth Workshop Days are about equipping entrepreneurs with real-world strategies they can apply immediately,” said Jakob Pallesen, SBDC director. “We want business owners to leave feeling prepared and ready to take next steps toward growth.”

To make participation simple and flexible, each workshop day has a single registration, allowing attendees to choose one, two or all three sessions. All events are free to attend. Participants are encouraged to bring their own lunch.

All workshops are scheduled from 10 a.m.-2:30 p.m.:

  • Sikeston – Tuesday, May 5 | Center Street Station, 104 E. Center St.
  • Perryville – Wednesday, May 6 | Catalyst Center for Business, 508 N. Main St.
  • Poplar Bluff – Thursday, May 7 | Poplar Bluff Chamber of Commerce, 1111 W. Pine St.

Through initiatives like these, Southeast Missouri State University continues to deliver on its mission of providing experience-driven opportunities that empower individuals, strengthen communities and support regional economic growth.
