Southeast Missouri State University’s Economic and Workforce Development Department is hosting a Scrum Master Certification (SMC) on February 20 and 21. This immersive two-day workshop prepares participants to earn the Certified Scrum Master (CSM) credential, a globally recognized certification from Scrum Alliance.
Ideal for professionals in project management, IT, leadership and other team-driven fields, the SMC program provides a practical understanding of the Scrum framework and its applications in tackling complex problems. Scrum, an agile project management methodology, is widely used to streamline workflows and enhance productivity across industries. A Certified Scrum Master serves as a team facilitator, ensuring that Scrum principles are effectively applied to achieve project success.

Held at Catapult Creative House in Cape Girardeau, this program emphasizes collaboration and real-world application, making it a valuable professional development opportunity. Upon completion, participants will be eligible to take the Certified Scrum Master (CSM) exam online. Course registration includes exam fees and a two-year membership with Scrum Alliance. Those who pass will earn the CSM designation, valid for two years.
