Show Band

Do you have school spirit and want to take your musical talents to Redhawk events?

The SEMO Show Band is a select group of brass, percussion, and woodwind students who will join you in performing at Southeast Redhawks basketball games and University Student Affairs events. You'll play mainly in the Show Me Center and around the Southeast campus.

About the Southeast Show Band

When you join the SEMO Show Band, you'll become part of one of the top basketball bands in the Ohio Valley Conference (OVC). You'll perform at many OVC Conference basketball tournaments and support the Redhawks at the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament.

The SEMO Show Band is one of the most visible musical organizations on campus. You'll create excitement and energy everywhere you perform! The band receives praise from the Southeast community, visiting coaches, fans, and referees for their spirited performance and support of the Redhawks.

Selection for membership requires an audition and participation in the SEMO Missouri State Marching Band. Auditions take place during the first few weeks of the fall semester. The traveling membership of the Southeast Show Band is limited to 35 performers for OVC events and 29 members for NCAA tournament events.

As a member of the SEMO Show Band, you'll receive a scholarship for your participation. Rehearsals happen on an irregular basis but are planned well in advance to meet your scheduling needs.
