Wait List Review Dates
The Department Chair reviews and prioritizes students based on need as listed below:
Fall Wait Lists Review Dates:
- 2nd week of May
- 2nd week in June
- 2nd week in July
- 3 - 5 business days before classes start
Spring Wait Lists Review Dates:
- 1st week of December
- 1st week of January
- 3 - 5 business days before classes start
Summer Wait Lists Review Dates:
- 3rd Week of March
- 3rd Week of April
2nd 8-week classes - All semesters:
Review 3 - 5 business days before classes start.
If you have extenuating circumstances for a waitlist request, please email lgcallahan@semo.edu from your Southeast email address and provide the following information:
- First and last name
- S0 number
- Course number and section
- Planned graduation semester and year
- Major and minor
- Advisor
- Detailed explanation about why you need the class
Wait lists close on the first day of classes, after this time contact the instructor. The instructor will decide to add a student, subject to the department chair's approval.
If you are offered a seat from the wait list and do not enroll within 48 hours, the seat is offered to the next student. You may re-enroll in the waitlist.
Due to a high demand on wait lists, we do not provide updates by phone or email. You can see enrollment and waitlist numbers in the 'Look Up Classes' section in the Portal.
