See where curiosity becomes real work, real skills, and real discovery.

In SEMO's Department of Chemistry and Mathematics, your learning is not confined to a lecture hall. You step into labs, research spaces, and specialized facilities designed to help you test ideas, analyze results, and build the kind of confidence that comes from doing the work firsthand. From your first courses to advanced research and capstone projects, these spaces support the work that helps you grow from student to expert.

Department of Chemistry & Mathematics Spaces

SEMO's multimillion-dollar science quad gives you a front-row seat to discovery, with dozens of specialized labs dedicated to chemistry, physics, forensic science, and materials analysis. Across these spaces, you will find teaching labs designed for hands-on courses, research labs focused on faculty–student projects, and instrument rooms housing advanced tools you would typically expect to see only in graduate or industry settings. It is a concentrated hub of spaces built to help you test ideas, work with real equipment, and start thinking like a professional from the moment you arrive.
