The University School for Young Children has been reaccredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC).
To earn NAEYC Accreditation, the University School for Young Children went through an extensive self-study and quality-improvement process followed by an on-site review by a NAEYC Assessor. The NAEYC Assessor verified that the program met each of the ten program standards and hundreds of corresponding individual criteria. Less than 10% of all child care centers, preschools, and kindergartens nationally achieve this recognition.
The University School has maintained NAEYC Accreditation since 2006. In addition to its role as a child care center, the University School is an academic center providing training and educational opportunities to students in early childhood education, child development, and a variety of other academic programs at Southeast.
