Dr. William Bratberg has been appointed interim chair of the Department ofLeadership, Middle and Secondary Education. Bratberg will fill the chairposition formerly held by the late Dr. C.P. Gause. Gause passed away in thefall of 2019. Dr. Daryl Fridley, associate dean of the College of Education,Health and Human Studies, was acting chair through the remainder of thefall term.
Bratberg has been on faculty at Southeast since 2004. He holds a Bachelor of Science in education fromthe University of Wisconsin – Oshkosh, and masters and doctoral degreesfrom the University of Missouri. His role at Southeast has been in middleand secondary education. A very popular instructor, he also serves as theEducational Technology Advisor.
Bratbergs appointment will last through the end of June. A search isongoing for a permanent chair of the department.
