The Artwork of Marko Fields will be on display Feb. 2-23 with an opening reception from 5-7 p.m. Feb. 2 in Southeast Missouri State Universitys River Campus Art Gallery.
Fields is a Minnesota-based, three-dimensional artist who primarily works with ceramics but also incorporates an array of mixed media. His artwork is highly ornate, colorful and displays a flair for the whimsy.
This show is great opportunity for the community and students to interact with an artist who has a multifaceted career, said Justin Miller, associate professor and exhibitions coordinator.
Fields is an entrepreneur with a rich history as a coffee shop owner and artist. This exhibition will focus on his highly detailed and ornate ceramic works, presenting both functional works and sculptural works that speak to facets of his entrepreneurial practices.
The River Campus Art Gallery is located on the first floor of the historic Seminary Building in Room 106.
River Campus Art Gallery hours are 1-5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 1-7 p.m. on First Fridays. All gallery exhibitions, events and talks are free and open to the public. For more information, contact Justin Miller at rcgallerycoordinator@semo.edu or (573) 651-2865.
