Student Teaching

There is no better way to find your fearless than to gain real experience while still supported by mentors who have been there. You will work closely with SEMO faculty and experienced regional classroom teachers who will help you learn the ins and outs of running a classroom, giving you the confidence to lead one of your own. Students across our programs step into local schools to build the real-world skills, relationships, and instincts no textbook can teach.

Your student teaching experience can open more doors than you think! The EDhawk Scholars program places student teacher candidates in a local school district, builds your professional network, and sets you up with a guaranteed interview upon graduation. This gives you a real head start on a career you have been working toward.

Graduate Internships

The Graduate Internship is the culminating experience of the K–12 School Leadership program, designed to place aspiring administrators directly into the work of running a school. From managing daily operations to supporting faculty and navigating the complexities of a school community, this experience bridges the gap between graduate study and the principalship.
